Every dog has its day—and mine is long overdue for a Disney vacation. After years of loyal cuddles, emotional support during Pixar movie marathons, and patiently tolerating Mickey ears for photos, my pup Bear deserves a little pixie dust of his own. And guess what? Disney makes it possible!
Yes, you can actually bring your dog (or dogs, up to 2) to Walt Disney World and stay at pet-friendly Disney resorts. So naturally, Bear is ready for his enchanted escape.

🏨 Where Can You Stay with Your Pet at Disney?
Thankfully, Walt Disney World offers dog-friendly resorts that don’t just allow pets—they pamper them. Here are the dog-friendly resorts:
🐶 Disney’s Yacht Club Resort – $75 per night
Luxury for the four-legged elite. Located near EPCOT, this stunning waterfront resort gives Bear access to walking trails, plenty of grass to explore, and even views of fireworks. This is his "treat yourself" moment.
🌳 The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Lodge – $50 per night
Perfect for pups who love the great outdoors. Cabins offer extra space, quiet surroundings, and even nature trails for morning walks. Bear can channel his inner Russell here—just with more belly rubs.
🎨 Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – $50 per night
This is where Disney magic meets vibrant style. Bear might not care that we’re staying in a room inspired by The Little Mermaid or The Lion King, but I do. Perfect for easy access to the Skyliner, and I am able to easily go back and check on him.
🌺 Port Orleans Riverside – $50 per night
For the elegant canine with a flair for Southern charm. Bear can strut his stuff along the Sassagoula River and enjoy serene strolls under mossy oaks.
🧳 What’s Included for Your Pet?
Disney provides a special welcome kit for dogs staying at these resorts, including:
A mat and bowls
Disney-themed ID tag
Disposable bags
A puppy pad
And a special “Do Not Disturb” door sign so Cast Members know a royal pup is inside
🐾 Pro Tip When Staying at Disney Pet-Friendly Resorts?
Important Reminder: According to Disney's pet policy, dogs can only be left alone in your resort room for up to 7 hours at a time. If you're planning a full day in the parks, be sure to schedule a break (or two!) to return and check in on your pup.
Need another option? Check out Disney’s Best Friends Pet Care—a full-service facility right on Disney property offering doggy daycare and grooming services. You can drop your pup off as early as 7 AM and pick them up up to one hour after the last park closes.
It’s the ultimate magical spa day for your four-legged friend—while you enjoy the parks, they’ll be pampered too!
